  • “Sometimes you need to nudge staff to supervise school assemblies but not when Denise was with us. Her ability to speak “tweenager” about social media with such fluency had us all on the edge of our seats. She enlightened us, scared us and ultimately gave us hope. She is current, relatable and real.”

    -Alison Serino
    Principal, Wesltand Middle School Bethesda
  • “Thanks, Denise, for recently running two great sessions with Somerset Elementary School. The assembly for the kids was a huge success. They learned a great deal and you really held their attention – no mean feat with a large, young, squiggly group! And the presentation to parents that night also was very beneficial. It is great to be able to use the same language at home that the kids are getting at school to reinforce these important online usage and safety practices. Thanks again; looking forward to having you back!”

    -Gillian Edick
    Somerset ES PTA President

    -Phyllis Fagell
    School Counselor, Sheridan School
  • “Thank you so much for coming and sharing your wisdom and positive message about technology and connected living. Our parents and students felt they had learned something new. For our students, hearing the message from someone other than their teachers helps to reinforce the message we are all wanting to share. I especially appreciated your message to adults of monitoring and modeling and discussion.”

    -Margaret Haviland
Assistant Head for Faculty and Programs, Westtown School

Your service touched the lives of nearly 60 young adults who reminded us why we started on this journey and further motivated us to take it to the next step. • “Denise, of Cyber Sensible, did a wonderful job of presenting and explaining to parents the world of social media that engages our teenagers. She explained how the various apps work, which apps should be avoided, and how to adjust privacy and safety settings for the ones they use. Her common sense approach emphasized the need for using good parenting skills to create communication channels between parent and teens to ensure that missteps are avoided, practices that are inappropriate, and handling of how many friends are allowed. Her sound, practical advice was to empower our teenagers to use social media responsibly, monitor and regulate their use and understand how to use social media to build a positive profile that will be useful when applying to colleges and future employers.”

    -Joe Busch
PTSA President, Walt Whitman High School
  • “Thank you for your outstanding contributions to last night’s Choose Civility Symposium . You were a terrific addition to the panel. Your comments were timely, insightful, and inspiring – and delivered expertly! I appreciated the opportunity to thank you personally after the presentation.”
